Born from the alliance between SN Brussels Airlines and Virgin Express, Brussels Airlines is the consolidation of Belgium's two main carriers. It is the start of a whole new dimension of air travel combining the best of both airlines to your advantage. A new generation airline, offering a wider choice, more flexibility, premium airports and guaranteed lowest fares.
Today Brussels Airlines can offer one of the most comprehensive networks between Europe and Belgium — more than 50 European premium destinations with non-stop flights to and from Brussels Airport. Plus, the airline is also committed to its African network of 13 destinations — offering passengers the guarantee of superior quality air travel (in our thoroughly refurbished Airbus A-330s) that has always been the cornerstone of our reputation in Africa. Back on the European network, the same assurance holds good — here, our customers can rely on our fleet of Avros, Airbus A-319s and Boeing B-737s to fly them to their destinations safely, comfortably and on time. Moreover, our codeshare agreements with partner airlines allow us to offer daily flights to 39 destinations in North America, the Middle East and Asia.
So what will change? Well, mainly the travel options we offer on our European network — our new product line-up will now be better tailored to meet today's passenger expectations for short haul flights up to 3 ½ hours, and we've developed a range of attractive services, especially in terms of flexibility and time efficiency.
From March 2007, there will be just two products on our European flights scheduled under 3 ½ hours: Flex, a premium economy class product, which offers maximum flexibility and convenience at an affordable price, for passengers whose time is money. Flex customers will enjoy great flexibility with the option to combine one-way fares on our comprehensive European network. They will have a wide range of ticket change options at no extra cost, and will benefit from a number of significant new advantages in the total travel experience — more convenient check-in options, a more efficient internet-based booking system and a wider range of time-saving services at the airport such as pre-booked parking and priority boarding.
And Light, our second new product, which is geared towards customers looking for the best deal. Light is effectively a low-cost carrier product where we guarantee passengers the lowest fares for their chosen flight.
Our new line-up is also good news for our loyal passengers, Privilege and Flight Club members, who will continue to earn miles in an even more attractive programme no matter whether they're flying Flex or Light.

If you want a budget-friendly, no nonsense way to travel, Light is for you. After all, why pay for extras you don't need? And since when was a friendly smile an extra? Booking is quick and simple, and it goes without saying you can earn Privilege miles on every flight.
Light tickets are available for all our destinations. That means guaranteed lowest fares to major airports in over 50 top European destinations. If you find a lower price online, we'll even refund the difference*.
Snacks and drinks are available to buy onboard.
Thanks to a wide range of deals with our travel partners, Light passengers can enjoy some great offers for the whole trip: hotels, car hire and insurance are all available to book online.
*If you find a better online offer (service fees, airport taxes and extras included) from another airline for a flight leaving within 30 minutes of your Brussels Airlines plane from the same airport to the same destination, we'll refund the difference.
